Natchez Mississippi’s 300th Birthday Celebration
Natchez, MS will be celebrating its 300th Anniversary on Aug 3,2016.
Natchez was established by French colonist in 1716. It is one of the oldest and important European settlements in the lower Mississippi River Valley. On August 3, 1716 the French completed the wooden fort on the bluff that looked over the eastern shore of the Mississippi River. That area was also occupied by Native American’s known as the Natchez.
This year will be full of different activities and events that people will be able to attend and have fun at. The MAIN event taking place this year will be on August 3rd for the Natchez 300th year celebration.
