Randy Travis’ Father Dies
Randy Travis’ father, Harold Traywick, passed away on Saturday, October 8, at age 83. This took place at his home in Marshville, North Carolina. Sadly Traywick passed one week before a major milestone for his son, which is for Travis to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, October 16, as apart of the class of 2016.
Harold Traywick was born on March 31, 1933, in Marshville, N.C. Some accomplishments Harold made was that he owned a construction company, ran a meat route, owned a turkey farm and raised horses and cattle, according to his obituary. He was also especially passionate about horses. In an 1990 interview Travis talked highly about how great his training abilities were.
Traywick’s visitation will take place on Tuesday (Oct. 11) from 6PM until 8PM at Nashville’s Morgan and Son Funeral Home. His funeral is set to be held on Wednesday, October 12, at 11AM, at the Fountain Hill Methodist Church, with a burial following afterwards. The burial will be at Fountain Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
